This trusty troll is ready to help in the garden, with his handy tool-belt and rucksack. He's also big and cuddly, if you need some downtime after all that gardening!
 
The pattern is intermediate level, requiring bobbles and intarsia, in addition to basic knitting skills. All pieces are knit flat and then seamed, stuffed, and assembled. The finished toy is about 14-16" tall, depending on your yarn choice and gauge.
 
Materials Required
Troll: 150 g of chunky/bulky weight yarn in green (MC), 75 g of bulky weight yarn in light grey (CC), pair of 5.5 mm (US size 9) knitting needles, pair of 12 mm safety eyes or buttons, stuffing, black yarn to embroider face, tapestry needle, scrap yarn or row markers
Rusksack and Tool-Belt: 45 g of worsted weight yarn for rucksack, 20 g of worsted weight yarn for tool-belt, 4.5 mm (US size 7) knitting needles, tapestry needle, narrow cord or elastic or length of yarn (30 cm, 12”), 3 small buttons plus hand-sewing needle and thread
