Knit an adorable tabby cat, on her way into the woods to grandma’s house. The pattern includes instructions for the cat doll, a dress, an apron, and a hooded cape.

 

The toy is knit from worsted weight yarn on 4 mm needles, and the outfit is knit from fingering weight yarn on 3.5 mm needles. The pattern uses a variety of knitting skills: knit and purl, right and left decreases, m1 and kfb increases, stripes, and intarsia. The outfit and textured patterns on the skirt and cape, to make them prettier and more interesting to knit.

 

Tabby Cat Materials: 25 g of worsted weight yarn in light grey (yarn A), 25 g of worsted weight yarn in dark grey (yarn B), 10 g of worsted weight yarn in white (yarn C), pair of 4 mm (US size 6) knitting needles, tapestry needle, stuffing, two 10.5 mm safety eyes or buttons, pink yarn for the face

Outfit Materials: 15 g of fingering weight yarn in white (yarn A), 25 g of fingering weight yarn in second colour for skirt (yarn B), 25 g of fingering weight yarn in third colour for cape (yarn C), pairs of 3 and 3.5 mm (US sizes 2.5 and 4) knitting needles, 4 stitch markers (optional), tapestry needle, 1 cm (⅜″) button plus thread and needle to attach (for apron)
