This little panda has dreams of being a hero, and is all ready with a cape! Wouldn't your little hero enjoy having a panda as a friend?
 
The finished toy is about 8" tall, and all pieces are knit flat, then seamed and assembled. The pattern is intermediate level because of the intarsia eye-patches, but otherwise the pattern is relatively easy.
 
Materials Required
Panda: 35 g of worsted weight yarn in main colour, 25 g of worsted weight yarn in white, pair of 4 mm (US size 6) knitting needles, stuffing, tapestry needle, pair of 8-10 mm safety eyes or buttons, yarn to embroider face.
T-Shirt and Cape: 15 g of fingering weight yarn for T-Shirt, 15 g of worsted weight yarn for Cape, pairs of 3 mm and 4.5 mm (US sizes 2.5 and 5) knitting needles, tapestry needles, two small buttons (optional), crochet hook (optional)
