Flat Foot Floogie is the perfect gift to knit for a baby* or young child, who wants something to snuggle at night or carry around during the day. This is a lovey style toy with a sheep and rabbit variation. (The heads are essentially the same as my other toys, so you could use the head from any pattern, as long as it’s in the same yarn and gauge as the rest of the toy).
 
The pattern is experienced-beginner level, and all pieces are knit flat, then seamed and assembled. The finished toy is about 30 cm (12") long, excluding the ears.
 
Materials Required
Lamb: 100 g (125 m) of chunky weight yarn in light grey (MC), 25 g (35 m) of chunky weight yarn in dark grey (CC)
Rabbit: 100 g (125 m) of chunky weight yarn in tan (MC), 25 g (35 m) of chunky weight yarn in cream (CC)
For both: 5 mm and 5.5 mm (US size 8 and 9) knitting needles, scrap yarn, stuffing, pair of 12-15 mm safety eyes or black felt*, yarn for embroidering the face, tapestry needle, rattle insert (optional).
 
*For a child younger than 3 years, you will want to make the eyes with either yarn or felt
